Sport at GLPA

 All teams and individuals that represent our academy at sport, display a positive blend of sportsmanship and competitive determination. Our boys and girls view each other as inspirational role models.

What’s happening in 2015/16?

Our children will be supported in attempting to repeat some of their successes from recent years. Provision will include, among other activities, the following:

Sports Hall Athletics – UKS2 (Winners Delta Competition 2015)

Football – UKS2 (Winners Leeds Utd Community Competition 2015)

High Five Netball – UKS2

Cricket – UKS2 (Yorkshire County Finalists 2015)

Contact Rugby – UKS2 (Winners Watson Trophy 2013)

Gymnastics – UKS2

Tennis – Year 5 (Leeds City Bronze medallists 2014)

Tennis – Year 4 (Winners Garforth Schools Competition 2014)

Skipping – LKS2

Football – LKS2 (Winners Garforth Schools Competition 2015)

Cross Country – KS2 (3rd placed female West Yorkshire School Games 2015)

Football – KS1 (Winners Garforth Schools Competition 2015)

There will also be a more structured timetable of intra-school sport, linked to PE units, across all age phases.
