Cricket competition

23rd May 2018

We were very proud to take two team teams to the Garforth heats of the UKS2 cricket competition for the first time on Monday. Our boys and girls played with great determination, focus and enthusiasm. Whilst many members of the squad have been developing their skills by attending the after-school cricket club with Garforth cricket coach Pete Dawson, for most this was their first time playing cricket in a competitive situation. On another glorious May day , Green Lane recorded their best result against Strawberry Fields A beating them by 43 runs. It has been tremendous to see a number of our children join Garforth Cricket Club in the last 12 months - the ideal next step for a number of our children who played today. They train on a Monday night on Church Lane from 6.30 - 8 for those interested - why not go and try it out and take your cricket skills to the next level!
