Lower KS2 football

16th May 2018

Monday afternoon saw Green Lane take two teams to compete in the LKS2 Garforth Schools Tournament under glorious blue sky. The boys played with tremendous determination and resilience (especially when defending) and really grew in confidence as the tournament progressed. The tournament operated in a league format - there were two leagues. The two teams who finished top  of the leagues would then play against each other in a final.

Green Lane A played really well during their four league games remaining undefeated throughout thanks in part to some solid defending. They won their second game and drew the other three which meant they came second in their league, narrowly missing out on a place in the final. Green Lane B featured a number of Year 3 players who will be returning next year. It was a great experience for the team and Miss Sewell was very proud of the determination and effort they put into their matches. They too showed some super fighting spirit, particularly in defence!

Well done to all those who represented Green Lane with and special thanks to Miss Sewell for her support.
