This week saw the inaugural KS1 inter-house cross country competition take place. For many of the children it was their first time of participating in a competitive event for their house and despite the strenuous challenge of the sport they all seemed to relish the occasion. The format of the event meant as well as having one main race where all the children ran together, they also got to run in a four person race (one representative from each house). There really was some impressive running on display as well as bucket loads of grit and determination! A really big well done to all the boys and girls who took part with such enthusiasm.
The results were as follows:
1st – Dean House (24 points)
2nd – New House (20 points)
3rd – Dalby House (21 points)
4th – Sherwood House (17 points)
Thanks to Miss Hunt and Mr Wales for supporting and running the event.
