Years 3,4 and 5 got to try skateboarding on Wednesday as part of our Olympic experiences programme. The children seemed to really enjoy trying a new activity and really grew in confidence by the end of the sessions! They learnt a skateboarding move called ‘a baby leaf’ which was impressive to see!
Kai C said “it was interesting because I’ve never tried it before!”
George J said “it was fun and a bit easy. I liked the part when you put your skateboard upside down and put your feet under it and then jumped up and landed on the skateboard!” (baby leaf)
Zak F said “sometimes I fell off the skateboard. I got back on and kept trying again and again and then I did it!”
Abigail R said “I loved it – it was a little bit scary but it was really really fun even though I fell!”
